Contracts and Acquisitions staff for both commercial and government work. Experience developing RFPs and Administering Large and Multiple contracts. POSITION # 63: Sr. Contract Specialist (immediate - permanent) LOCATION: Federal Aviation Administration, Washington, DC SALARY: Contractual Rate commensurate with qualifications and experience. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Sr Contract Specialist to support FAA's Contract Towers program office. Supports Contracting Officer (CO) and Technical Representative (COTR) in administering government contracts. Assignments include preparation of Contract, Modifications, and Task Order documentation. Assists CO in negotiations, contractual documentation and administration. Supports acquisition planning, preparation of solicitation, review of supplier offers including bids and proposals, analysis of offers, development of independent government cost estimates. General administrative functions. Primarily local, travel may be required. CORE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree in related field and 10 years related contract management experience, including 5 years working on government contracts. Working knowledge of federal acquisition regulation (FAR). FAA experience and specific experience with FAA's Acquisition Management System (AMS) a plus. Proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel, ability to work independently, self motivated and detailed oriented. Strong analytical, presentation, written and oral communication skills as well as negotiation skills. POSITION # 64: Contract Management/Subcontract (temp to perm) LOCATION: Client Headquarters, Herndon, VA SALARY: Hourly rate and salary commensurate with experience. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will perform cradle to grave contracts/subcontracts management and administration functions for all contract types, including CPFF, T&M, and FFP. Responsibilities include: Administering government and commercial contracts and subcontracts in accordance with company policies, applicable laws, and customer requirements. Manage contracts staff and interface with program managers and senior management. Establishing and executing RFQ preparation and delivery procedures. Review and analyze contract documents to determine contractual obligations. Prepare routine subcontract and contract correspondence, including subcontract/contract closeout reports, memoranda of understanding (MOUs), non-disclosure and teaming agreements, and subcontract research and modifications. Monitor company performance for conformance to subcontract/contract requirements to ensure full compliance with all terms and conditions. Set up and maintain contracts records. CORE REQUIREMENTS: 5-10 years of experience with government subcontract/contract administration. Experience in federal government contracting environment required. Experience with commercial contracting strategies, general knowledge and experience with FAR/DFAR. Proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel, ability to work independently, self motivated and detailed oriented. Strong analytical, presentation, written and oral communication skills as well as negotiation skills. Candidate will report to the President. BA or BS degree in a related field strongly preferred.
